I have a website that has not been getting new content in a while now due to shifted directions. However it keeps getting injected with spam news posts. I have identified the newspaper theme as the root cause. I have updated to newspaper 12 and this is problematic. On pages:

How do I fix this error (other than disabling the composer plugin, which breaks the main menu).

Please activate the tagdiv standard pack plugin and clear the cache.
Please downgrade wordpress to version 6.0 using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-downgrade/ after the update, the wordpress to 6.3.2 There are more files infected with malware.

Ah ok thanks for the tip. I was lucky to have an old backup from june 2022 so I deleted all files and then restored that backup. But I will keep the other method in mind!
