I have added google analytics and google adsense code in header section (header.php) and save it but they are not working. And I can’t see it using Cntrl + U. Now I have installed plugin for adding scripts to header. But why header.php file not working?

Please delete the code from the header.php. The code must be added in the head tags, you can add the code in Theme Panel -> Analytics/Js Codes.

I am having this same problem. I have followed your instructions to resolve the issue but I am still getting the same error as well.
After going through Theme Panel and pasting the code from Google Adsense into the Analytics section, it still says Couldn’t verify your site. I have also placed the ads.txt file into the root directory of the site.
OK, so I was able to get my site verified. I removed the script file altogether from the header in wordpress settings and also in the Theme Panel>Analytics/Js Codes. I added the .txt file only and I was able to get the site veried in about 3 seconds. I hope this helps someone.

Well, I thought it helped and when I go to the domain.com/ads.txt, I can see it but it is saying ads.txt not found on the Google Adsense page….
I”m going to try this method instead and see if I get a different result. This has been going on now for three weeks.
