You need to duplicate the single post template and assign the template with the featured image on the posts you want and the other on the posts you don’t want to have them. You can assign a Single Post Template for each category, in Theme Panel -> Categories -> https://i.imgur.com/gggYHLj.pngand you can design the template as you want for each Single Post Template from those categories or from frontend for each post -> https://i.imgur.com/7bhfa3S.png
