Using the customizer I added the custom links and created the header menu but in the drop down section only latest articles are showing under all tabs rather than their respective categories. How do I get them to show the right categories?

I think the problem is that the mega menu structure is not correctly made; please check this guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/
If you have a parent category with subcategories https://i.imgur.com/ScOzLD5.png -> https://i.imgur.com/9F8KosV.png , you need to select only the parent category for mega menu.
Also, please provide some screenshots with your settings for the menu an the link to your website.
