I have installed Regenerate Thumbnails plugin as advise in other post but it does not make a difference. Please advise
My site is:

Hi,
If you are using youtube videos as featured image the the thumb from those will be used. Sometimes those are using low quality images and the theme creates other thumbs from it for each module that is used – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-theme-thumbs/
I checked the website and I see that there are thumbs with a nice featured image – https://i.imgur.com/yoyz28s.jpg
Thank you!
Hi. Thanks for your answer. Obvsiouly Yutube is 16:9 which does not render properly on the page. We have now resized and updated a 4:5 feature image for Carnival video and still looks blurry on the phone, it looks better on the desktop. It is not sharp on the phone. What is the exact image ratio I should be using?
Hi,
Indeed, now on desktop the featured image are looking better. The situation on mobile is like this because the same image size (thumb) that is used on desktop is also used on mobile, but the module image size is changed to full width.
As a solution I recommend to try the tagDiv mobile theme plugin, this will change the website layout on mobile, but it will make it faster and should also resolve the problem with blur images from mobile – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-get-mobile-ready-with-newsmag-theme/
Thank you!
Hi
When I enable Mobile theme the content disappeard, as you have informed me in another post. How can I keep clear images on mobile now?
Hi,
If you want you can use the mobile theme plugin but disable it from pages, unfortunately for this you’ll need to go on each page and from Gutenberg editor to disable the mobile theme – https://i.imgur.com/2prHOcF.png then the responsive version will be used.
Another solution is to use the flex blocks elements instead of blocks, those can be configurate per view port – https://i.imgur.com/YE1xtfg.png – https://i.imgur.com/6sTDf3B.png each option with a solid border in front can be set per view port. Also when you have a flex block layout that you want to reuse it you can save it as an element – https://i.imgur.com/amjxWeA.png and use it latter from tagDiv Composer.
I hope this will help you!
Hi Colin
Thanks for your answer. I have now used Flex block1 now instead and the images are not blurry, so that was great. But now there is more information appearing under the video (duration, first line of text and date), these lines were not appearing when I was using Block 16. I have replicated all options, and the option “Show video duration”is set on Hide.
Flexblock is the panel “Best of” (yellow) on my home page (the other blocks are still non-flex):

Thanks
Please advise
and now it is also showing “read more”. I need to hide that
Hello,
Normally for all those the flex block have the options in layout section – https://i.imgur.com/fxJQOAb.png just scroll down for the rest of options – https://i.imgur.com/wSUJfd5.png – https://i.imgur.com/dh7vJzF.png – https://i.imgur.com/Zt4D7nC.png the settings for video duration is in general tab – https://i.imgur.com/aEeZND3.png and the next prev arrows can be added from filter tab – https://i.imgur.com/i0iA09e.png
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!
