I am using The Events Calendar plugin on my website, but the categories that I create in the the Events section do not appear in the categories listed on my dashboard (Events categories can only be found under The Events Calendar’s “events” tab). This makes it impossible to set the list of events on my homepage screen. I tried applying tags to the events but that is not working either. Could you tell me, please how I can get the categories to appear in my website’s list of categories?

Unfortunately you will need custom work to integrate events categories so you can use theme like articles categories on page blocks and it is not an easy task. I suggest to hire a freelancer to do this for you as we cannot provide any type of custom work at this time as we work hard on development, updates, fixes and support.

This was enormously helpful! Thank you so much! I had attempted to set this up using tags on the home page layout but was apparently missing something. These step by step, screen-shot explanations covered whatever it was I was missing.

Unfortunately, we have not tested “the event calendar” plugin, so we can’t say if it will work or not. You will have to test and see. Also please note that we don’t offer support for untested plugins.

Hi michaeldef, that answer was from a long time ago, since then there were many changes in our theme, WordPress and plugins.
What I suggest is to set the events in a flex block and see, those should be display.
