You guys need to ad something into the admin panel to enable ads including demo ads to be removed. They are scattered all over the demo data and seems impossible to remove. The ad editor inside the theme also does not remove these ads.

Hello,
There is an option in the theme that will remove the ads from the backend; please go to Newsmag > System status and click on “tagDiv advertisement” – https://i.imgur.com/ysGaxrZ.png
If this is not what you mean, please provide some screenshots.
