Hi – I noticed that when a new user registers on my site, their user profile on the admin backend shows a checked box for “show toolbar when viewing site”. How do I fix this?? I don’t want users or subscribers seeing or using the admin toolbar.

They should have the subscriber role. You can use a plugin for this, for example the Members – Membership & User Role Editor Plugin.

They do have the subscriber role – but in the backend the “show toolbar when viewing site” option is checked on their profiles. Is this a bug or do I need to use a plugin to change this?

Hi – I don’t know where that is. I can’t go into each individual user profile and disable it, I don’t have time. I don’t see an area where there are general settings for user roles.
