The 404 seems to be related to the fact that the images and fonts from the theme are not found, sometime this is caused by an extra plugin, so first please do a teste using only theme plugins and see if the problem persist.

Related to the links with amp extension, usually this situation appears when you are using amp or the amp was enabled for a period of time and after that is disabled and the amp links are still on google results, what needs to be done in this case is to set a redirect on those amp links and ask google to reindex the website.

I also posted the regex codes in forum to setup proper 301 redirects for /amp and /?amp type URLs. 🙂
It’s a good idea to remove old, low quality, worthless posts!! So after removal, am I sure I redirect them??
Hi muktipolice, I’m not sure if is necessary to remove old posts, but if you do, then you need to use on those the 301 redirect.
We recently deleted 8,000 old posts. Our “impressions” went down 50% in Google, but the quality of the content went up as more focus on current vs stale (old news is not that evergreen really). We let them 404 to our main news index.
