Hello,
As the title says, I want to migrate from ACF (due to the obvious drama with WP) to Jet Engine. Is the theme compatible with other custom fields besides ACF? I’ve noticed that within the tagdiv composer, ACF is mainly supported. I haven’t purchased Jet Engine yet, I really like my WP theme and I don’t want to migrate away from it.
Is this doable within the composer? Is it compatible in any way?
Unfortunately, I’m using ACF Pro, I need some features not present with the free version. Also, SCF was forked but has no developer. The WP team stated they are looking for a dev to step in and take the project. Not exactly what you want to hear when you’re using a plugin for an extended database.
My questions still remains. Does Newspaper have any other similar plugins that’s compatible with?
Thanks!

Ah. We use ACF PRO over here and not planning to change since we have lifetime unlimited license from the oooolden days (2015/16). Luckily ACF Pro not dependant on anything from WP core or wordpress repo.
ACF Pro is not and will not/cannot be ursurped by WordPress/Matt-o-matic. It has always been updated via the ACF system and not WordPress.org – so it’s not going anywhere, and lives outside the nonsense between Matt and WPE.
“It is marked safe!” 🙂
Sorry to butt in 🙂

Thank you for your input Chris, appreciate it. Ya, I’m aware of the story, and you might be right, but this feud is pissing me off. Especially when Matt is pretty pissed at them and might pull some shitty move (or even WP Engine, for that matter). I’m not a fan of either party:) I aim to build something pretty big, and I’d hate to have to replace it after I build it and populate it with thousands of entries. Even migrating from ACF to Jet Engine or something similar is a headache, but it’s better done from the start.
Hello!
We also have the CPT UI plugin compatible with the theme for creating the CPT and taxonomies. However, only the ACF plugin, free or paid, is compatible with our theme for custom fields. We have not implemented custom fields from any other plugin yet.
Thank you for understanding!
