WordPress warning – “Automatically loaded settings may affect performance”

Hi! In WordPress Admin it reports that I have a critical problem (google translate from swedish to english):

“Automatically loaded settings may affect performance.

Autoloaded settings are configurations for your plugins and themes that are automatically loaded for every page generated in WordPress. If you have too many auto-loaded settings, this can make the site slow. Your website has 724 automatically loaded settings (size: 1 MB) in the “options” table. It can make the website slow. You can review which settings are automatically loaded into the database and remove any settings that are no longer needed on your website.”

Is there something I can do, fix this and how. Or will it break Newspapere theme?

Hello!

No, a WordPress warning won’t affect the Newspaper theme. Please ensure you have no extra plugins that can affect your website speed.

Thank you!

Hi Bettina!

I have now removed as much plugin as possible, and it dropped from 724 to 704. This as never reported as an issue up until some weeks ago. I have used Newspapere theme for like 10 years.

Has there been any update in Newspaper plugins or does WordPress flag this like an issue now?

Kind regards
Niclas
