When I am on page 1 of the category and click to go to page 2, the site returns to the home screen. In the pagination I am leaving it as Normal Numbered.

Hello,
Have you checked for a plugin conflict? Please deactivate ALL plugins, including WP Bakery, except tagDiv ones. Also, if you use a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache, and try again.
