Mobile Toolbar Background

Hi,

The theme has an option for ‘Mobile Toolbar Background’ in Theme Panel -> Theme Colors.

This can be used to define a background color as per the theme-color meta element: https://html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/semantics.html#meta-theme-color

Are meta tags for dark and light modes also supported? I don’t see settings for those.

I also have two different headers of independent colours, used on separate areas of the site, so rather than a single mobile toolbar background color, what would be the best way to define different theme-color meta elements for each header?

Thanks!

Hello,

Our theme doesn’t have the dark mode. You can try to use a plugin for those and also to set another mobile toolbar background for your headers.

Thank you!

Hi Anamaria,

Thanks for confirming. I’ll add the code manually to each header.

Perhaps this is one for the suggestions pile, as the theme-colour meta is increasingly prevalent across modern browsers.

Hi Anamaria,

Quick update on this. I’ve found that specifying the theme-color meta tag – <meta name=”theme-color” content=”#f0f0f0″> – applies the correct colour to the top status bar, but the lower, minimised navigation bar doesn’t change colour at all.

Here is an example of what I mean: https://imgur.com/1WzVvul

Do you know how to make the bottom navigation bar the same colour?

Thanks!

Hello,

Unfortunately, I don’t know how to change that color.
You can also check, this guide https://www.howcrux.com/2020/04/customize-status-and-address-bar-of-mobile-browser.html

Thank you!
