Hello, so just purchased Tagdiv and installed it. For some reason any Tagdiv Theme I chose and install (tried multiple) the pages never display the Title at all.
Example (staging site)
If I use a default WordPress theme or any other them, the titles show with no issues without any special code.
Example (current live site)
I checked every single setting in Tagdiv Theme panel and there is nothing that turns on or off the Title.
what am I missing?
thanks
Hello!
If you use a cloud template for your page (edited with the tagdiv Composer), you need to add the shortcode called Page title to display the page title. Also, the content can be added to the tagdiv Composer using shortcode text with title or column text.
The “Column text” and “text with title” elements have a button called “edit content.” If you click that button, the WP Editor will open, and you can add text/code/shortcode there. Close the WP Editor from X, save the changes from Composer, and view the page to see the changes.
Thank you!
Ok tried what you said in Tagdiv composer to try to get Page Title to Display
1. add “text with title” element to home page
2. clicked elements settings
3. Edit Content
4. Wp editor opened
5. added [post_title] [page-title] [page_title] neither of them worked.
I don’t have this issue using WordPress own default installed themes, my current theme, and elementor themes. I did not have to add any shortcode for the page title to display on those.
I have about a thousand pages that need the page title displayed. Is this not possible with TagDiv? OR what am I missing?
thx
Hello!
Ok. Follow these steps:
1. Deactivate Elementor
2. Add new page from Pages -> Add new page
3. Give a title here: https://app.screencast.com/8yq15XkWLIybO; publish, save, and edit it with the tagdiv Composer
4. Add the page title shortcode in your page: https://app.screencast.com/UVtYSIgepAk2l
5. Save and view the changes.
Thank you!
Disabled Elementor. The only way this is working with my current content and TagDiv composer is if I add a row to the header with page_title short code.
The pages missing Titles now do show them using the Header. The only draw back is articles double up on the Page titles
So after messing around with TagDiv composer for hours, it looks like I will have to edit thousands of pages and add the title short code to each page to display its title. This is just not feasible.
I don’t understand why other themes like WordPress default themes, Fuel Themes, Elementor Themes just work and show the page titles as intended without adding any short code to pages.
Anyways if you want to look at the example link above feel free, the page title is shown twice.
But on the pages missing titles previously it now displays but only in the header.
Hopefully you have a fix as I am at the end of my rope.
thanks
Hello!
You should only add the page title shortcode in the content, not the header.
The page template can not be added as global, so you must add that shortcode with copy-paste into each page. A workaround is when you use the default templates: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
Thank you!
I give up, tried everything you mentioned with no results. Just wasted a bunch of time and $60.
I never had this much hassle with theme builders that I used over the years ever. Crazy that your themes and settings just can’t display a Page Title globally.
Very disappointing…..
