having become a bluesky fanboy, thought I’d ask if you’d been able to add that as social sharing option in the latest Newsmag update this month? Thought I’d ask *before* I update since I have a number of code hacks to do whenever update.

That’s already on the to do list, but unfortunately we haven’t added it for either of the themes. And I can’t provide a time estimate.
Maybe you could consider using a sharing plugin which has it? You could deactivate the theme sharing buttons and use a plugin instead. In terms of location I know that some plugins display the buttons on the side of the page automatically. Or if they can be displayed with a shortcode, it could be added in the post template. I will help with it, I’ll test a few plugins, no problem. Do you have specific requirements or you just want sharing buttons anywhere in the post page, with Bluesky included?

not a priority at all, was just checking… bluesky is growing really fast, but it’s still not mainstream, so I think the only reason it will do well is having ex twitter folk involved, but also not a bunch of sub groups that make mastodon a bit of a pain. Spend your time on better things, was just checking in case this was a pending update that is not a security patch thing. 🙂

No pending updates unfortunately. But this request is on the to do list, we will try to add Mastodon, Threads, Bluesky in the next bigger update. The last one was just a security fix. I am very sorry for this inconvenience.

I get complaints all the time that I don’t have Bluesky in my share options. People think I prefer Twitter. ACK!

under theme panel > social networks > first ‘tab’ at top > social share 🙂
I get to “Social share” and it doesn’t offer an option to turn it off! Even if I uncheck everything, it still shows whatever I had checked last.
are you clicking [save] after you uncheck (toggle off) the display options?
