You can use shortcodes in theme’s ad spots for example if you wnat to display social icons element from Visual Composer, you need to add social icons block to a page, add your social links in the blocks settings and take the shortcode – http://screencast.com/t/KEkzxO0Por8 – http://screencast.com/t/hWbnNa2emkb and paste it in header ad section – http://screencast.com/t/8k3R3aRII

I went through your tutorial and I am stuck on the first step – Add social icons block in blocks settings – I am just not seeing it as an option – Where do I find it?
I also do not want to activate the very top bar that has the tiny social icons. Which happens when I add the links to the social area un the theme dashboard.

Did you updated to the version 6 of the theme? Unfortunately the Social Icons block is not used anymore in this version of the theme, sorry!
