Hi,
I was wondering if someone can take a look at why WP Retina 2x plugin is breaking certain functionality of the Newsmag theme. I understand this is a plugin problem but perhaps something can be done on the theme side.
When the plugin is using PictureFill to serve retina images the search and mega menu and related articles pagination functionality breaks.
Can someone take a look?
Did you check the support forum for the plugin, such as the issue with Yoast SEO plugin?

Also using the console in chrome you’re getting what looks like minification error with .js and/or missing jquery reference.
Did you try turning off ALL your plugins except visual composer and the ‘retina’ plugin?
I did see that in the support forum. It wasn’t until I came across that entry that the plugin did not work at all.
I deactivated everything except the visual composer and I still had the same issues.
Something is definitely in conflict with the plugin. I also deactivated the tagDiv Speed Booster plugin and I believe the minification error went away as I didn’t see the site broken for a split second before returning to normal.
Hi,
Unfortunately we did not tested any plugins like this for retina images, so I cannot make any suggestions at this, sorry. You can try this without any plugins active leave just Visual Composer and retina plugins active and see if you still have issues, maybe there is in a conflict with another plugin(s).
Thanks!
I’ve turned off all the plugins and only have the retina plugin and VC as well as speed booster. Disabling all plugin even composer and speed booster it still produces the same issues.
Looking at the console I am seeing the following errors. What do these mean?
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘replace’ of undefined(anonymous function) @ tagdiv_theme.min.js:166m.extend.each @ jquery.min.js:2m.fn.m.each @ jquery.min.js:2td_retina @ tagdiv_theme.min.js:166(anonymous function) @ tagdiv_theme.min.js:156m.Callbacks.j @ jquery.min.js:2m.Callbacks.k.fireWith @ jquery.min.js:2m.extend.ready @ jquery.min.js:2J @ jquery.min.js:2
Hello
As my elvinf I already point the compatiblity with the WP Retina plugin.
With a world surfing more and more on phones with high DPI (for example my LG G3 have a 4K sreen!), I think it is essential that our site look good on these devises.
Your theme is very beautiful and allow us to present best photos we have in our articles.
Too bad if on the phones the images not look perfect as on the destokp.
Really hope your consider this point of view and integrate this compatibiltiy or better, like your did for the logos, work on the fact the theme manage the retina display alone without plugin.
Regards
