If this situation with ads is only on chrome, then is related to an ad box that you are using, I will recommend to try in incognito and see if the problem persists, if not, then is form a browser extension you have.
Related to the menu, this is only on chrome? also the menu is working when you are logged in? Can you provide a link to the website to check the problem?

Now, I see that on homepage you have a different header, so I believe that maybe one of the theme plugins is no longer installed? Please go to Newspaper plugins and make sure that you have installed and activate the tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Cloud Library and tagDiv Standard Pack (I believe that you do not have the standard pack that brings the old templates).

Did you checked to see if the menu still exists? (go to appearance > menu ), in case that the menu no longer exists, then there is no menu to display and you need to create one.
