How to undo imported page template

Hi,
We are using cloudtemplate blocks for our site https://regioonline.nl, but not cloud pagetemplates yet. I tried on one page (https://regioonline.nl/delfzijl/). I opened the page in Tagdiv Composer and imported the pagetemplate Fast News. Got a view what this did for that page, but was not satisfied. So I did not save the page, but after refreshing, deleting cache and browser history, login ou and loging in, the mentioned page still show the cloudtemplate for that page. (see https://regioonline.nl/breda/ for original page setup without page cloudtemplate).

If I go to edit page in WordPress editor I don’t see revisions (option missing completely) https://prnt.sc/Zmk-qcNkL7sx, so I can not set it back to an earlier state. In menu Cloud Templates, under page templates there are no cloud pagetemplates mentioned to remove (https://prnt.sc/zbCwOceSRjaA), so that also does not help. Any suggestions on how to undo the cloud page template and get back to previous setup, or is this not possible?

In addition to this question:

My newssite has about 62 regional pages. None of the pages are cloudtemplates, only the blocks. Is it wise to replace every page with a cloud template (all 62 of them have different categories to filter on), or does this not offload the database a lot?

Thanks for taking the time again for my questions. Much appreciated!

Hi,

It looks like you imported a page that was part of a demo, and then deleted it afterward. This action doesn’t affect your actual website pages, so there’s no need for concern.

Please note that these are not page templates like category or article templates. The pages available in the tagDiv Cloud Library are pre-built demo pages created using the tagDiv Composer. When you import them, they are added as standalone pages that can be edited directly with tagDiv Composer, but they are not linked to your theme’s structural templates.

Let me know if you need further clarification.

Thank you!

Hi Calin,

I am so sorry, but iI provided wrong links to the webpages the page with the template (wich I can not undo or find anywhere) is https://regioonline.nl/regio-delfzijl and one of the ‘normal’ pages is https://regioonline.nl/regio-breda

I fogot to put the word ‘regio’ after the last backslash.

Hi, the situation is how I explain it above, this is a page imported from the cloud, exact the same elements – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/homepage-fast-news/ so if it was imported there will be no revisions until there are some modifications on that page.
Thank you!

Aha, I’m sorry I missuderstoof Calin. I thought there was a revisions of the original page (regio Delfzijl, the same as regio Breda), but as I now understand if you import a cloud template there is no going back to the original page it was before that.

I will remove the page of regio Delfzijl, duplicate the page of regio Breda and rebuild it for regio Delfzijl.

Just one other question that was not quiet clear to me: does having a page cloud template reduce the load on the database query’s?

Thank again for your patience and time Calin.

Hi,
When a page comes out of the cloud it is similar to what you would do, but you don’t have to start from 0. As for reducing database queries, this depends a lot on what is set on that page and how big it is. For example, you can use redis and cache on flex block to reduce the number of database requests.
Thank you!

Thanks Calin. That helps. You can mark this as solved!
