Embed page content into a widgetised sidebar

Hi there!

I would like to design a fancy sidebar for a page using the tagdiv composer and i would like to use this sidebar for many different pages.

Possible solution: I copy the elements from tagdiv composer from one page to another. Works, but if i need to change something, i have to update each page.

So my question: Is there a possibility to design a sidebar with the tagdiv composer and use it on many different pages? (maybe as an embedded age?) Unfortunately the tagdiv composer is not available in the “Design > Widgets” menu, so is there a workaround?

Thanks for your help!

Best,
Roman

Hi Roman,

There are only 2 possibilities:
1. Create the sidebar for each page using tagdiv Composer and copy and paste the elements from one page to another.
2. Using widgets, you can not create the sidebar using tagDiv Composer, but you cna use tagDiv Composer to add the sidebar widget and have it the same on all pages, and when you edit something in widgets, it will be reflected on all pages.

Thank you!

Hi Calin. Sorry to hijack the thread. I am using option 1, but we have a few custom post templates and it is a big job to update them all.

Using option 2, we have mostly the default wordpress widgets to use, and it looks terrible.

Is there a plan to add a sidebar template to the cloud templates? So we can call it on each custom template?

Thanks

Hi,
Hello, unfortunately, I don’t know if there is such a request, but I will add it to the list now, and our developers will evaluate this requirement when they get to it.
Thank you!

Thank you very much for the answer Callin!

Ok, so there is no solution so far :/ Option 1 is a pain and with solution 2 you cannot use the tagdiv composer.

Maybe a more or less simple solution would be to have the ability to embed a page in a sidebar with a special developped TagDiv-Widget.

Roman

Hi Roman,

I understand, unfortunately, for the moment, there is no solution, so everything has to be easy to be done.

Thank you!
