Wordfence has sent this message to it’s customers:
We urge users to update their sites with the latest patched version of Slider Revolution, version 6.7.37 at the time of this writing, as soon as possible.
This vulnerability makes it possible for an authenticated attacker, with contributor-level permissions or higher, to read arbitrary files on the server, which may contain sensitive information.
Can you tell me which version is bundled with the theme, and if it’s not this updated version – how soon will we get this update.
It looks like not having it is compromising the security of this theme.

Thank you, will I need to do anything to Slider once the Newspaper theme is updated?
I was wondering, would you recommend updating the theme now or waiting? There seems to be issues following the update according to some of the forum entries.

Hi,
You need to manually update the Slider Revolution plugin with the version from the theme package.
Regarding the theme update, there’s only one issue so far, and it’s related to the Table of Contents element. If you are not using it, then you can make the theme update after you make a full backup of your website.
