I love this theme, one of the best I have used in 10 years publishing WordPress sites. However, it is unusable on mobile – it take minutes to load – as much as 5 minutes.
I am at a loss to understand why. It loads on desktops and tablets fast, but mobile is useless. My only option is to figure out why or abandon the theme in favor of a better designed responsive theme.

It is not using any cache. What appear to be the problem is a script that is loading first.
Any insights are welcome.

The disabled compression and missing caching headers is a BIG issue for speed. You should see a huge improvement after that changes.
