In Newspaper 12.7.3, how do I disable theme-generated title tags while keeping Yoast SEO active? Because it is causing duplicate title tags in the post ‘View Page Source.’

Our theme do not generate title tags, those need to be manually added, therfore this must be from an extra plugin that you are using.

It appears that header.php from the theme file is responsible for the duplicate title, apart from the Yoast SEO title tag. Could you please re-check
“We are using Newspaper v12.7.3 with Yoast SEO. Duplicate <title> tags occur when the legacy Newspaper SEO module or custom Header Code is enabled. Please confirm that Theme Panel → SEO is fully disabled and no <title> exists in header injections or child theme.”

The theme includes an Article schema that can be disabled in Theme Panel → Post Settings (https://i.imgur.com/XmkR5bg.png).
We recommend disabling this option if you are using an SEO plugin to avoid schema conflicts.

Article schema is already disabled in theme panel. The site is inpeaks.com

I believe that you have some option or something interfering, because by default, using the theme and Yoast SEO plugin, you should have only one title tag – https://i.imgur.com/b3LT60B.png, even using the “Force rewrite titles” option from Yoast SEO is displaying only one title, and that is the one set by YOAST – https://i.imgur.com/0K8kprT.png https://i.imgur.com/plUD8Xn.png
Please do a test using only the theme and SEO plugins and without any cache to see if the problem persists, to be sure you do not have any extra plugins interfering. Also, check the title settings from Yoast.

Hi, According to your screenshot is displaying clearly that the extra title tag is added by the premium yoast seo – https://i.imgur.com/uEvRwPG.png now in case you want to keep the one from seo and remove the one from our theme, then it will be need to contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a temporary wp-admin access to check it and provide a working solution. This is need because the Yoast SEO Premium has a stronger and different structure then the free version and the plugin.
