Please advise if it is possible to modify the posts loop widget so that it displays the post subtitle instead of the excerpt.

Hi,
Unfortunately, there is no option for this, sorry! If I remember correctly, I don’t think there were more than 2 or 3 requests for such an option, so it wasn’t added because it wasn’t a requested option.
