I have two tags for my website posts, Mexico and Mexico City. I’ve just started making a new tag template and applied it to my Mexico City tag, but it’s automatically applying to Mexico as well. I can’t seem to stop it or make it separate the two.
So basically I don’t want my Mexico City tag template to apply to my Mexico tag (it should only be assigned to my Mexico City tag). Any insight on why this might be happening? In the theme panel I’ve assigned the Mexico City Tag Template just to my Mexico City tag, and I’ve tried reassigning the Mexico tag on the front end, but neither has worked. They’re both stuck with my Mexico City tag template.
Surely I can have two tags with the same words in the titles…right?
**solved** by giving the tag Mexico its own template that wasn’t global. Still was strange though…
