WP edit page width

The edit page of WP has gone narrow. Is this a facet of the ever-shifting and often regressing WP or something controlled in the theme?

Thanks

Hi,
I think that you are referring to a similar small editor -> https://i.imgur.com/WK2rE82.pnghttps://prnt.sc/Gv6UZlWayxdX
In the most of the cases this problem can be fixed by adding an extra code, please set this code in functions.php -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/functions.php or in functions.php in a child theme.

Thanks, Calin – however, as I’ve said before, your imgur.com screengrabs now appear to be restricted in the UK. I get message “content not viewable in your region”.

Hi,
I just uploaded a new image with teh same layout, but that is not important, it’s just displaying a narrow editor, nothing else.

Still good to see image so I can see we’re talking about the same thing. And it looks as if we are. Rather than meddle with the code, I might live with it for a while. But to be clear, is this a WP or theme change? I notice now also that Post Settings once again appears at the bottom of the editor on scrolling, which I like. I didn’t like having to deal with a separate panel for this, which made the page vertically cramped. It’s strange how WP moves forward and reverts simultaneously.

Hi,
I completely understand.
The theme is applying code within the Gutenberg editor, but the content width should still be 726px. If it appears smaller, it’s likely that an additional plugin is interfering.
Regarding the Post Settings, they were previously displayed at the bottom of the article/post. However, Gutenberg introduced options to move them up or down, and even place them in the sidebar.

That’s useful, Calin – didn’t know that Post Settings could be moved. But my width problem is solved, thanks to your plugins suggestion. I had installed Fluent Forms Block – now deleted and all is good!

I’m glad 😀
