Is there a way to set the header images, like with YouTube videos, to adult-only mode? And only have those images visible to people who disable “adult-only” mode directly on the image itself.

Unfortunately, there is no such option in our theme, but I think this can be achieved using an age verification/content warning plugin – https://www.wpbeginner.com/showcase/best-age-verification-plugins-for-wordpress/
