I was using a different theme till i purchased the newspaper theme a few hours ago.
The installation was smooth.
But i cannot edit existing posts or create new posts as the visual editor is not showing up.
Yes, visual composer etc is installed. I have also flushed my cache and disabled super cache and my plugins are minimal. They are actually the ones in your approved list.
Now there is a strange problem. If i run phpinfo() i can see that the memory limit is 512mb and max execution time is 3000. But the theme is reporting memory as 40mb and execution time as 30. There is no separate directive in wp-config, but i created the same php increase settings in wp-config to seeif it helped but that too hasn’t worked. I am stumped.
I guess I am facing the issue cause of tinymce. Can i disable it? Have i not read some direction that you gave?

By default Visual Composer only appears on pages editing section, you have to enable it for posts from Visual Composer -> General Settings – http://screencast.com/t/WDZK4qqI8

Tinymce should not be disabled.
