Social media tags

Hi, new upgrade is great thanks but when we try and share our home page on facebook it picks the tags og:Description of “[vc_row][vc_column width=\”

Latest Yoast SEO Plugin is setting the tags correctly but they are adding a second set to the Newspaper 6 tags and that is the problem. Is there any way inside Newspaper theme to turn off it’s tag generation for social media /twitter/pinterest/facebook/etc and just leave it to yoast?

Everything was working prior to the upgrade on Newspaper 4 so unsure if it’s configuration issue and what files to alter and would be great to get a response as soon as you can 🙂

Hi,

The theme ads og data only for the image, you could delete it from here – http://screencast.com/t/t9gXKHEiuu1P
If the duplicate og’s are still there check the other plugins.

Hi Thanks Emil, the above fix looks for single posts but this is happening on pages.

Will keep looking, it’s just strange it only happened after the upgrade.

Definitely on Newspaper 6 these og: tags for posts are not generated anywhere?

Hi,

It’s the only og present in the theme. Did you tried to disable the plugins?
Please provide the url so i can take a look.
