Posts have no line breaks, publish on a single line.

Any new post I add stays on one line. I switched themes to check it and it stopped. So I think this has to be an error in the theme. Please let me know how to correct this. Thanks.

Never seen this issue. Does this happen in the preview while using the visual or text editor to do a normal post? Are you using the default post template(s) or a custom template?

In your screen shot your text has no spaces; and so there would be no line break.

Be sure to turn off any plugins not included with theme; and also check console in Chrome/IE with F12 to reveal errors on page render.

Spaces should have no effect on the text going to the next line. Text isn’t meant to run off the page.

I am using the standard text editor. It runs forever on one line in the editor as well.

I deactivated all plugins and that was no help.

I will be happy to give sign in info if someone is willing to look at this. The site is useless as is. It is impossible to post new entries. I appreciate any help I can get. The site is currenly set to private so a link here won’t help.

Like I said, I switched the theme and the problem went away. I did a lot of work to make this site look nice on this Newsmag theme. It would be a shame to have to start over. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

No matter what I type or how I type it, it publishes on one line. If I cut and paste from another source it will publish that text correctly, but any text typed into the editor stays on one line forever.

I’ve got 25,000 pages with no problem; so something funky going on obviously!

If you’re using the visual editor it may stay on one line, if you’re using the text editor it should wrap; it’s a function of WordPress.

You may need to clear all your caches on server; and reinstall the theme, making sure you upload via FTP and your FTP software set to properly encode text and binary files; turn off all plugins except visual composer, etc. to debug your issue.

Without a link those of use who offer to help on forum can’t be of any help.

I am a novice,as I am sure you can see. I was using the wrong term with line break. My editor won’t wrap. I may try installing a fresh copy of wordpress. I will also try your suggestions. If I cannot fix this today, I will make the site public so it can be seen on Monday. I can also provide login info privately.
