I’m really enjoying using your Theme, but I have a problem I’m unable to solve, in spite of looking through your Forum.
My site is: http://deanramsden.net
I’m uploading images at 950px X 350px, and the first several posts rendered nice thumbnails, and were used consistently. However, the 2 recent posts are now using different sized thumbs, which you can see on the posts named “The Verbal Support Option”, and “Change is the Fulcrum”. It has changed both the style, and the size.
Note that this is also affecting the size of the smaller thumbs, as seen in the footer.
I have not altered any settings, but now the Theme insists on using the different style (as in these two named posts) and the new thumb sizes rather than the original ones.
How can I fix this problem?
Thanks in advance,
– Dean Ramsden
Did you regenerate your thumbnails to fit theme sizes?
Note that WP cannot “enlarge” images to fit layouts, only reduce. This requires using a plugin (as I do) called “Thumbnail Upscale” which adds back in support for making images larger to fit/crop layout, which the folks who make WP have disabled due to a personal philosophy against it (even though your image module on web server supports it!).
Try adding that plugin, then use the “regenerate thumbnails” plugin.
Might not be the issue you’re having, but it looked like it when looking at your home page.

Thanks for the fast response.
No, I did not regenerate the thumbnail sizes, and I’ll look at the upscale/regen option. I’m still trying to understand why the Theme is using different size Thumbnails, from the 18 it generates when I upload a new image.
Perhaps I’m missing something obvious here, but I’m willing to regenerate the thumbs if I gain consistency once I post it.
Hi deanramsden,
You can find more details on how to do it here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-the-theme-with-existing-content/ then make sure you empty caches and purge files if you use cdn host.
Also note that each image is cropped when you upload it so you just need to regenerate thumbs for your old images. If you don’t need all image sizes you can disable them from theme panel for those you don’t use: http://screencast.com/t/CNubMTv0u
Thanks
Thanks so much for the helpful support. I’ll study the links and support material, re-evaluate my graphics strategy, disable the thumbnail sizes I don’t use, and regenerate the thumbs once I’m all set.
Awesome theme, and terrific support. Thanks again.
