Can't create megamenu

Hi,

I am having an issue creating a megamenu for my website. I have created a category, ‘science’ (see link for screenshot), with multiple subcategories. However, there is no dropdown to create a megamenu, as is shown in the documentation here https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/ . It would seem that the problem could be the ultimatemember plugin, which adds its own options which can be seen in the link below. However, i tried disabling this plugin and the problem remains.

Thanks in advance!

Solved. For future reference for anyone else with this problem, i forgot to disable the menu icon plugin, which removed the megamenu option.

Thanks

Another quick question on the same topic: I don’t seem to have the featured category on my website. If I create it manually, will that also work? Also, is there anyway to set permissions for someone to apply that specific category, so only editors can designate featured posts?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, you can create it manually, it should look like this – http://screencast.com/t/xGX8lJmtlC8
You have to look for a plugin, an example would be – https://wordpress.org/plugins/restrict-author-posting/ – but note that i didn’t do any tests with this one, if it doesn’t work look for an alternative.

Thank you!

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I am having a problem with the mega menu on my website studenthub.org.uk . When I hover over the mega menu “science”, the “All” mega menu tab previews load up fine, but when i hover over another tab below, e.g. biology, I am presented with a loading icon, and the posts of that category don’t load. How do i fix this

Thanks!

Hi,

Try to disable all plugins except for Visual Composer and see if the issue is still there. Also check the error.log file for clues on why this happens.

Thank you!
