I was searching for advice for SEO and was told its best to have the title tags to be H1 for the front page? IS this true as news mag has it as H3 when using block 13
Story titles on home page should not be H1, but you can add a “box” with some info about your site with H1 tags, by simply creating a text block on top/bottom, or sidebar on your home page to have a paragraph or title about your site.
H1 tags for stories on home page serve no purpose as they are temporary as your news changes and are intended to be related to a “title” for the page (comparable to the title tag in your meta data), and not headlines from stories.
Similarly story titles in blocks don’t need to be any specific H1 for semantic purposes, as any “H” implies a headline vs a paragraph.
