I uplaoded a background image in category settings panel
and I chose style8 (both default and stretch setting)

but the result is with no image:

saying the truth I tried to change both styles and settings
both in general section and in per category basis
but the result is always the same
so that the category settings seem not to be applied on my website!

where am I wrong??

Hi,

I’ve tested your image without stretching as default: http://screencast.com/t/URQYRbn4c and found no issues, it worked as expected: http://screencast.com/t/36BnmawD Stretch an tiled options also work fine so I suspect this is happening due to a plugin you use. Please make sure that you also test this without any plugins active, leave just the VC plugin active and test again. Make sure you also empty caches.

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks

Thank you Lucian
I discovered that the category image is displayed with no issue in category pages

for ex: http://screencast.com/t/b8wEj3K1

but it doesn’t work in SUB-categories!
http://screencast.com/t/k6zDC6FR

even if the settings of both in the theme panel are the same!

More, I would like to display ONLY the HEADER image in category and sub-category pages without background. Is it possible?

Hi,

Not sure what is the issue in subcategory page. You can change the category template for each category(even it is a subcategory), so if you don’t want to use style 8 in your subcategories you can change it – http://screencast.com/t/Kca9D6xXA Please provide more details what are you trying to do.

Thanks!

I tried EVERY setting before writing here
So I tried to change the style in every sub-category but the result is always the same:

every category AND sub-category displays always the DEFAULT style, no matter which style I choose in the “per category settings” section. So the “per category” selection seems not to override the default one.

Anyway, I don’t need to personalize every category so I could choose one style as default for all the categories.

But I would like to know if there is a way to display a header image (not BACKGRUOND image!)

Hi,

If your category settings are not saved and it doesn’t been applied on frontend, please check and change this value in php configuration – http://screencast.com/t/bzZyGPBYU6k Let me know how it goes!
Unfortunately the category header templates were designed like you can see also in our demo, there is no option to display header image, just to set background image or color.

Thanks!
