Well, beginning to discover the theme since some days, I find really difficult to do some things and mastering it…So, trying some things and searching solutions, I get some questions, hopping someone will be able to help me.

And now, here are my questions :
1) where to put the [rev_slider Home] code, in order to have the slider ? Because in widgets there are only newspaper default (which seems to be the slidebar ?) + footer
2) Article show in the position (type blog 19), but there is no picture with it : where can I choose a picture for it ?
3) Is it possible to modify the size of the slider in the revolution slider options ? Cause I did not find it
4) The slider does not show anything ; but I get like 9 articles, and all categories are selected in the slider options. Any idea ?
5) How to remove the two words in top left corner of the “homepage block” (in case it is useful to keep it) ?
6) Why the block talking about social medias is only showing “td_block_social_counter custom_title= »STAY CONNECTED » facebook= »envato » twitter= »envato » youtube= »envato »” and not links ?
7) What is supposed to be the “homepage post” block ? Cause it appears like it was a slider (without content for me, by the way)
If you are able to answer to just one question : have no hesitation to do it, any help will be much appreciated !!

Thanks a lot for your help ! I took time to try to solve the problems I talked about, considering what you said and reading link given, and all is fine with those currently 🙂
Working more on it, I get new problems, and even searching in documention and on the Net, I do not find the answers.

1) How can I have all the menu on the same line ? And how to put a color in background of each category ?
2) If I put the meta %link% it put the link directly ; how is it possible to have the link in the post title ? Such as a classical hypertext link : you click the title of the article, you go on its page. The “enable link” is on enabled, like I think it is needed.
3) The excerpt is too long, and I did not find how to put it on two lines and/or to have an automatic return to the line after a precise width ? Like I do not know how to do, I do not know what is possible 😉
4) How to have a space between the slider and the categories, that are glued to it currently ?

1. I have checked your site and you have to many menu items, also containing long words that’s why you have this issue. You can change the font size for menu items – http://screencast.com/t/zr3Nq687OS and use this custom css to reduce the space between items:
.sf-menu a.sf-with-ul {
padding-right: 20px;
}
.sf-menu > li > a {
padding-left: 0px !important
}
.sf-menu .td-icon-menu-down {
padding-left: 3px;
}
You can add a background color for each menu items only via custom css, as the theme doesn’t have an option for this. You can check this topic as reference – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-one-category-colur-on-menu/
2. If you want to add a link to the post title you have to edit here – http://screencast.com/t/tihZqObCZ
3. The theme doesn’t have an option to have excerpt on specific width. The only option is to set the excerpt length for each module – http://screencast.com/t/fQatGaZlx

Here is where I am currently :
1) This problem is solved 🙂 After test, finally I prefer to not have color in background, it does not look nice ; I think it would have been maybe better if colors of blocks were not glued to each other
2) I do not see what you mean : its needed to open the code like this every time there is a new article, to be able to put a link to it from the slider ?
Furthermore, when I do “inspect element” I do not have such screen like you show, can you please say me how to have it (if it is needed in order to put a link on slides) ?
3) I tried to reduce the content length, but there is no changes ; the same if I try to change the title length too. Any idea why it does not work ?

2. I’m not sure what you are trying to do. If you use a slider(IOS Slider,Big Grid like all blocks) all articles title should have a link, if this is what you mean. You can check it on our demo – http://screencast.com/t/j16G5RVN – http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ios-slider/
Please provide more details about this also a link so I can inspect this. I use Chrome inspector tool.
3. Please check and change this value in php configuration – http://screencast.com/t/bzZyGPBYU6k You can check the php.ini file if you need to increase the value or contact your host provider and let him know about this if you can’t access it.

Thanks again for your help.
2) For slider, I was using Revolution Slider, like it was in plug-ins recommended by the theme (thought there was no other slider, my bad, sorry). So, I use Big Grid now, its way more simple to use 😮
3) Like Rev Slider is not used anymore, the question is solved.
So, with using Big Grid slider, the bottom part of the picture does not show (http://hpics.li/2ffb407) like on the demo http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-2/. I tried to have a look to the Big Grid options or theme panel options, did not find anything about it, and the same to manage options if it is possible (like show/not show the date, the author…) neither. Where is it please ?

If you use smaller featured image than the size of the thumb, please note that WordPress doesn’t enlarge images and you will need to use plugin like Thumbnail Upscale to enlarge thumbnails: https://wordpress.org/plugins/thumbnail-upscale/ For upscale use a combination of plugins Thumbnail Upscale + Force Regenerate.
Unfortunately there is not option to enable/disable meta info for specific element, the theme has a general option for this in Theme Panel > Post Settings(it will apply on posts,blocks, modules) – http://screencast.com/t/JpTxbT0aIg
