I have newspaper theme v6.2 installed on my website.

I have a regular push of content onto my portal and i want my homepage to refresh automatically into a user’s browser after 30 mins time interval.
I have found one way of doing it using Meta Refresh putting it into the header file of the theme, but Meta Refresh is not preferred by google and its use effects the page ranking and seo.
So i want to do it using JS or any other method. Please let me know how can this be achieved.

I have already tried this plugin, but the issue with it is that this plugin uses “Meta Refresh” which is not suggested to be used by google as it is not user friendly.
I want to refresh the page using some Javascript or jQuery code. Let me know how is that possible ?
