I’ve read in another thread that the post counters do not work when you use a caching plugin. Could this please be fixed in the future update? My “Most Read” widget in the sidebar keeps showing the same artcile for ages because none of the views are currently tracked. Your suggestion to just turn off the caching plugin is ridiculous, you know that everyone needs a caching plugin or webserver configured caching to get the page speed you guys advertise with on theme forest. You also said that we could just manually up the pageviews by changing it in the custom fields of a post, but that only works for the normal view counrs, not the 7 days view counts. The 7 day view count simple resets to the counted amount of views. I would really appreciate it if you guys ficed this in the future update, or at least provide us with an alternative in the mean time.

This is a common issue here on WordPress and seems at this time don’t exists a solution for that, using a plugin that prevent this. We know about this and believe us we try to do the best, we have it marked as a cool stuff to be implemented, but we need more time, is very difficult.

The plugin we’ve been using for several years (seems like 7 years?) in one form or another by the world famous WP guru Lester Chan, is this one

It’s compatible with caching plugins. (See docs obviously … or “RTFM”).
It also writes to its own meta field, so it makes it easy to either use concurrently with any theme counter, or set the theme to pull from its data-field.
This may or may not work for your particular install, and it won’t solve any issues with “printing” items on pages or posts, likely, but if you want to keep view counts it works great for us.
