Mega Menu Scroll Bar – how to remove?

I set up a mega menu and since I have over 7 sub categories, it’s causing the dropdown to have a scroll bar instead of just extending the dropdown. Is there a way to remove the scroll so that the entire list can be seen?

Also, is there a way to have the subcategories appear under the mega menu thumbs of stories like this using Newspaper 6?

Lastly, where would you be able to modify the code to place a banner ad in the mega menu like this?

Hello sejpost,

1) You could do that using a custom CSS but be carefull because it will stretch the white container over your content: http://screencast.com/t/30mgfGny

.block-mega-child-cats {
overflow-x: visible;
overflow-y: visible;
max-height: 400px;}

2) The ‘newspaper’ mega menu was styled differently from the ‘newsmag’ one. Unfortunately there is no ption for this in the theme panel so you need a bit of css to change the appearance, but it requires a lot of modification as other elements are affected by the position of the sub-category list. You can start by targeting the td_mega_menu_sub_cats class and go from there.

3)You can read here how to create a custom ad and then you can insert your code in the theme files:http://screencast.com/t/vp4z0dM0W4J7https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-insert-ads-in-custom-areas-of-the-website/

Unfortunately we cannot offer custom work as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support.

Thank you!

This helps. Two followups:

1. For #1, where do I go to modify the max-height from 400px to something bigger?

2. For #1, do I access that file from my wordpress dashboard or via my host?

Lastly, if I modify this .block-mega-child-cats setting, will it get overwritten if I do a theme update to the next version of Newspaper? I have Newspaper 6.2

Hello,

1. Just change it in the code i gave you. Replace 400 with the number you want.

2. I assume you are talking about the core files of the theme. You can access these from your host.

The custom css code you place in the theme panel (http://screencast.com/t/5nPigFzqcA) will not be affected by the update.

Thank you.
