The website I am busy with have all the excerpts entered manually.
I have looked through the documentation and forum but cannot find the answer to my problem.
The problem is the excerpts are not showing at all. I found the modules but don’t know how to enabled/control them other than change the length of title and excerpt text but ultimately, it’s not displaying on the post page.
If you can please help.
PS: I don’t want to post the DEV URL on an open forum if you can let me know how to do so privately.

I have checked your site and like you see the excerpt appears – http://screencast.com/t/dIOGBgAPYdc but some of the modules were not designed to display excerpt(it display only post title). You can check in Theme Panel > Excerpts the modules used to creates blocks and which one have also the content – http://screencast.com/t/FdREjAZAdT

Thank you for your reply.
It’s not the module views that are the problem, it’s when you view a post.
If you open a post you will see the except does not display on the post page. In the back-end the excerpt is manually entered in the excerpt field, but does not display when you view the post.

Why not on post content?
Like many other sites especially media, except is used as intro at the top. We have about 50 000 posts with custom excerpt used, it needs to display on the post page as it’s not included with the other content.

@Sonjita The functionality is still the same. Excerpts are displayed in modules, in the post page the subtitle will be displayed. So you can use the subtitle field to display a chosen text in the post pages.
The solution from above will require modifications to the post templates, which after the latest updates are located in the tagDiv composer plugin. This means that they can’t be modified in a child theme anymore, only directly. The modifications will be lost after a theme update, the plugins have to be updated as well.
