Is there such an option? So that when a post has no featured image, it defaults to a selected image for all posts which don’t have one?

The theme doesn’t have an option to display a default featured image for post which don’t have one set, you will need custom modification in theme’s core files to achieve that. If you don’t know how to do it yourself my advice is to look for a developer from sites like http://studio.envato.com/ to do it for you as we cannot offer any type of custom work at the moment, sorry.

Open the theme folder and notice the folder called “images” ?
Note the folder called “no thumb” – might be good place to start 😉
Never hurts to go exploring in your theme folder by opening it on your local hard drive. Good to know what’s there, where things are, etc.

I really don’t care if you were telling me where I could find a pot of gold. All of your responses are completely unsolicited and not for my benefit but yours (especially since you are not affiliated with the developer). Obviously you have personality issues that require you to insert yourself into places you are not invited. You should seek help and stay out of other people’s threads unless requested to do so.

apologies for the upset. Sorry you didn’t want help from other users and chose to attack me instead; which I kindly responded in the same form.
Most people would have replied to my initial note with something like:
“ha ha, funny! Yes, I should have looked first – that is very obvious” – or similar.
Apologies if my “bantering” mode of offering to help you, in this case, upset you so much. I likely should just not have replied back to your jabs at me personally. However, my answer to your request for help was not wrong.
I have helped hundreds of users on my own time here the past 2 years, and MOST people either enjoy my sometimes witty banter and often highly technical support help on weekends while I’m here working on my own sites and sometimes have small windows to post some help here for newbies to WP, and theme use.
Again, my apologies.
