I’m using multisite and have several users with role ‘contributor’, but the authors box widget is not retrieving any of these users. It is just blank. Any ideas. I am using multi-site setup.

This widget wasn’t tested on multisite, we use the get_authors function – http://screencast.com/t/Trw7mE2ID
I think you have to add a blog_id parameter – http://screencast.com/t/AtN9EY7GEemE
