Subcategory/Child Categories Not Appearing Correctly on Mobile Menu

Hi – We are using Newsmag for our website: http://www.inspirelle.com. I just noticed an issue with the Menu bar — hen I look at our menu bar on my iphone 6 plus, the second level subcategories are appearing but not some first level subcategories!

For example under INSPIRE, Health/Wellness and Portraits (first level subcategories) don’t appear, but the second level subcategories of Culture (Books, Exhibitions, Music) do appear.

We need the first level subcategories to appear and NOT the second level ones. Also, the second level subcategories are appearing at the same level as the parent category. We would like for there to be differentiation.

For Example:

under INSPIRE, we should see the following in the drop down menu:

Culture
– Books
– Exhibitions
– Music
Fashion & Style
Health & Wellness
Portraits
Sexuality

But what I currently see under INSPIRE is:

CULTURE
BOOKS
EXHIBITIONS
MUSIC
FASHION & STYLE

If the second level are pushing out the following first level subcategories I’d rather not see the second level subcategories on our mobile menu and just see first level subcategories

Is there a way to fix how the child or subcategories appear on the mobile menu ?

Hi

The subcategories number displayed in menu is limited at 5, so you need to increase that value, such that all items to be displayed: http://screencast.com/t/yOEz5TC7x

Let me know how it goes!
Thanks!

Thanks, but since we have a lot of 2nd-level subcategories, that could still be a problem on a mobile screen. Is there a way to turn off the 2nd level subcategories so that readers only see the main category, and the first level subcategories?

So under INSPIRE category, we see only:

Culture
Fashion & Style
Health & Wellness
Portraits
Sexuality

and not:

Culture
– Books
– Exhibitions
– Music
Fashion & Style
Health & Wellness
– Body
– Mind
Portraits
Sexuality

Thanks!

Hi

Try to add this line of code 'exclude' => '78, 79' in td_menu.php like here: http://screencast.com/t/IVmmy7eGt and replace the initial numbers with the category’s id which you want to exclude from menu. To get the category id please follow this link: http://screencast.com/t/MqtXVVBg

Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!

Inspirelle, do you do custom work at all? I’d like you to work on my site. Please email me at lucy@sheshopped.com.au if you do. Thank you
