mobile site

hi can anybody tell me that
how can i have my site different for mobile and web ??

for eg i want to show Big Grid block only for my desktop website and not for mobile site
how can we achieve this?
big grid block is just a eg. i want to a particular block in my desktop site while that blog should not be in my mobile site and also the vice versa
how can i achieve that any suggestion for that
