My whole theme seems to have shutdown. All the styling has gone. The logos, colours, fonts, categories, sidebars etc. When I logged into WordPress i was asked to activate the theme (which i had done months ago when i brought it). I re entered the licence and the theme updated. I now have to start from scratch styling it. As you can imagine this is an absolute nightmare. Why did this happen???

Could you share more details about the website please, such as URL, active plugins, etc. ?
It’s a good practice to you export all theme options from the theme panel to a file you will store in a safe place (I’m syncing them weekly to OneDrive) and save the custom CSS to a cloud file too.
I’m also using a plugin called Widgets exporter, which will export all wodget settings to a file and I’m also using a plugin which emails me a database backup every 4 hours.
With all of the above once set up and running, restoring a crashed or hacked website is fast and easy.

Hello,
All these settings including the theme’s are stored in the database. This seems likely to happen when you make modifications to your database. We have not encountered issues of this kind with our theme.
Please check your database and maybe contact your hosting provider to provide a log of the latest modifications to the database.
