Problems Yoast SEO and Google XML Sitemap Plugin

I want to create a Sitemap for google. I confused between Yoast SEO Plugin and Google XML Sitemap Plugin.

I have some questions:

1- Do the theme support SEO or not ?
2- May I need more to install Yoast SEO Plugin for SEO?
3- Pls give me your idea, Yoast SEO Plugin and Google XML Sitemap Plugin which will the best for my newspaper sitemap?

YOAST SEO works best, as it allows you to set OG tags, build XML sitemaps and ping Google, Bing, etc., can connect to your Webmaster Tools (search console) account to see errors locally, set headers for page 2/3/4 of archives, set SEO elements for your static home page, etc.

The theme is SEO optimized but does not automatically construct certain extended elements, which the Yoast SEO tool can help with.
