I’ve selected Open Sans as the font for the header menu and some other things, seen here: http://themedium.ca
“Latin” is checked in the theme panel for which Google Fonts subsets to load.
But at the moment I can only see Chrome actually displaying Open Sans. Firefox and Edge are showing a placeholder.
When I check sources, I see that Chrome is indeed loading the CSS and hence fonts from Google:

But FF and Edge are only loading Roboto, not Open Sans:

I’ve already purged all caches. I am using a CDN, but my htaccess allows font downloads, as you can see from Roboto and even my custom font files.
Any suggestions?

I have checked your website on all 5 browsers and the font family for your header menu is open sans: http://screencast.com/t/LteP4TOx4. I could not see the placeholder you mentioned on neither of the 5 browsers (chrome, IE, Edge, Firefox and Opera)
The theme uses 2 default google fonts: open sans and roboto. If you want to remove roboto and only use open sans, you can remove it from here: http: //screencast.com/t/B1ZcrMoUpBw5

I’ve also had the same behaviour confirmed by someone on another device now.
The screenshot you posted shows that the CSS names Open Sans for the font-family. I agree, the CSS is being generated correctly. But the question is whether the browser can actually find and display that font.
Yours might be displaying it because you have it installed on your device. I’m not confident that that’s how it works, but that has factored into other weird font behaviours in the past.
Can you show me whether your browsers are downloading the Open Sans CSS file and hence fonts from fonts.googleapis.com, as in my first screenshot?

I have checked this again and it seems you are right about the fonts. Sorry about that. Open sans is not loading on any browser. The one from chrome i suspect could be the one loaded by WordPress for the admin bar when you are logged in: http://screencast.com/t/M14cBdDPV5 (normally a font that does not load on one browser, does not get loaded on a different browser as well. )
You can try to set a different font from the theme panel and see if that one gets loaded. Please check if any fonts you set get loaded at all. If they do try to reset it to open sans again. (we saw this glitch at another user in the past and replacing the font with another one then reverting to open sans fixed it)
As the open sans font is a default font of the theme, please make sure you do not have any modification to the file containing these fonts.
Another thing you can do (it’s a long shot) but maybe you have a plugin which interferes with fonts somehow. Try it without any plugins so we can rule them out as well.

Switching away from Open Sans and back to it seemed to do the trick. I can now see that the CSS file at fonts.googleapis.com is being loaded by all browsers. Thanks for your help!
