About only show a few lines of an anticle

When i add several blocks on the homepage, the article always show all the content, but usually, it should only show several lines of the content. Is there any button to control this, i can not find it.

Please check the Excerpts section form Theme Panel and set the excerpt type and control the length fro each module/block – http://screencast.com/t/DGZnyfTA1PR6
