Since using this theme we’ve found that every time we add a video to our post, whether it’s YouTube or Vimeo, the thumbnail is downloaded multiple times causing the media library to be full of duplicate images.
At first it wasn’t much of a problem, but as we’re starting to slim-down the amount of media stored on-site, we’d love for this issue to be fixed, if possible. If not, is there a way to disable the video thumbnail grabber?
Here’s an example of the media library right now. As you can see, there are a number of duplicate images, all of these are video thumbnails.

When a featured video it’s set for a post WordPress generate new images for each thumb size used by the theme. For example block 3 use a 300×160 px thumb for image, and when you add the block on page the image used is your-image-name-300×160.jpg. This is not a theme issue, that’s the way how WordPress works, that’s why you have lots of duplicate images in media library.
