Hi! I want to update my installation from 4 to 6. Is it possible to make a test install in a sort of beta directory on the server. Copy all files to that folder and update the theme there… and then when all problems are fixed move everything to the original folder?
Or will this give problems with the database?

There is a way to test it by creating a sub-domain.

Please take into consideration that newspaper 6 is totally different from newspaper 4. All the code was rewritten so a few options will no longer exist and a few compatibility issues with plugins that worked in version 4 may occur.
