My child theme had been working perfectly, but recently any changes to the child theme does not override the parent theme. The child theme is activated and has worked previously. What could be the problem and how can I fix this?

If it worked previously, it means that some change to your website makes it not respond anymore. You maybe update your theme and a file you are trying to modify got changed. In this case the file must be replaced with the new one.
Maybe you installed a plugin that interferes with the child theme somehow. Try it without any plugins as well.
Make sure you use the child theme that comes with the theme and follow this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Please keep in mind that not all files can be used via the child theme.
